Yes, fires are allowed on the beaches. Use small pieces of wood only. Large logs are prohibited. The fire must be west of the vegetation line as beach grass burns easily. Please build your fire away from the beach grass & piles of driftwood. Extinguish the fire with water. Don’t just bury it; doing this will allow the fire to remain hot and continue to smolder for hours. This could also cause someone to get burned. Always follow fire restrictions established by Oregon Department of Forestry.

The 804 trail runs parallel to the ocean, south into Yachats and north for 7 miles of sandy beach to Waldport.

- The house is reverse living with bedrooms on the bottom level. From the bedrooms you can hear movement of people walking about on the hardwood floor upstairs. This has been mentioned by one guest out of the many dozens who have stayed at our home. I am honest and just want to let you know in advance in case this might be an issue with you. Contact me if you have any questions.
- The loft is accessed by a ladder-stair that is kind of steep. The stairs are not manageable by toddlers and young children or pets. Supervision of toddlers and young children is required in the loft for their safety. Pets are not allowed in the loft.
- The loft is not a designated sleeping area.
